The result was the Suburban Conference expanding to 16 teams in the early 1980’s with the addition of Racine Horlick and four former City Conference schools - Juneau, King, Riverside and West. Discussions heated up again in the mid-1970’s and lasted through the mid-1980’s with the WIAA becoming involved and laying down the law. Milwaukee area conference realignment was first discussed in the 1960’s when the Braveland and Parkland conferences were forming, but nothing happened. 1974-1975: Waukesha North Waukesha becomes Waukesha South.1961-1962: Wauwatosa West Wauwatosa becomes Wauwatosa East.1941-1942: West Allis Hale West Allis becomes West Allis Central.Steve earned Sunkist Prep All-American Honorable Mention recognition as well his senior season.
